Learn to Fly Day Agenda

  • Learn the Principles of Flight.

Before jumping into the simulator or the plane students will learn the fundamentals of flight, how the systems of an aircraft work, and how to most importantly be a safe pilot. Through various stations students will get an in-depth look into the necessary items all pilots perform prior to take-off.

  • Practice in the Simulator.

The Redbird FMX full-motion simulator is a fantastic tool we have at our disposal. With 30° of motion on a 3D plane we are able to practice maneuvers and procedures in a safe environment. Students will get to practice take-offs, turns, and other fundamentals before getting a chance to do the real thing in the aircraft.

  • Perform in the Aircraft!

The second portion of the day students will be applying all the skills and knowledge they have learned on the ground into the cockpit of one our flight school aircraft! Our CFIs (Certified Flight Instructors) will take students up for 1 hour, and let them take the controls and fly the airplane.

After completing the flights all students will be issued a logbook with 1 hour of flight time to get them started on their aviation journey.
